The NAPF is governed by a Board. Reporting to the Board is a Retirement Policy Council and an Investment Council.

The Councils are the NAPF's main policy-making bodies and work with the NAPF executive to develop responses to consultation documents, for example. Each Council has a number of working groups or sub-committees which contribute to the detail of NAPF's policy positions.
