Andrew Twells graduated from Cambridge with a degree in Mathematics in 1994.  He pursued a non-actuarial career for two years before joining Barnett Waddingham in 1996.  Andrew completed his Actuarial training in 2000 and then went on to become a Partner of Barnett Waddingham LLP in 2005.

Andrew specialises in pensions and investment advice.  He has a number of scheme actuary appointments and, as a member of Barnett Waddingham’s Investment Consulting Practice, advises on strategic asset allocation.  In 2011 he was appointed Chief Investment Officer of Barnett Waddingham Investments.

Andrew is also involved in trustee training and speaks regularly on this topic at Barnett Waddingham seminars.  In 2006 he was elected a committee member of the NAPF West London Group and recently served as Chairman.

Outside of work, Andrew enjoys cycling, walking up mountains, and in the summer playing cricket for his local pub team.
