NEW RELEASE ... The NAPF Annual Survey 2009

Each year the NAPF carries out a detailed survey amongst its fund members. The
resulting Annual Survey provides schemes and their advisers with an invaluable insight into the pensions market and is a unique benchmarking tool. The NAPF Annual Survey
of members is now in its 35th edition.

The 2009 Survey is based on responses from 300 NAPF fund members - including both smaller employers and multi-national organisations. It covers members with defined benefit schemes, defined contribution schemes and local authorities.

It focuses on areas where our members frequently ask us for data on topics not covered in detail in other surveys. The areas we have covered include:

• Defined benefit provision in the private sector
• Private sector defined benefit investment and asset allocation
• Defined contribution scheme design, contribution rates and governance
• Local authority investment, scheme costs, communications and governance
• Effective communications about pensions
• Pension reforms and the economic crisis

The NAPF Annual Survey 2009 is essential reading for everyone involved in pensions.
