completion of the course participants will:
be able to identify what influences
pension scheme investment and funding decisions
recognise what risks are involved
in funding and investment decision making
recognise the fact that key decision
makers may have different aims and strategies for scheme funding
and be aware of the effect of these on the decision making process
be familiar with the steps that
may be taken to reconcile opposing views
be aware of the issues which
may be considered by all parties interested in reducing the extent
to which the pension scheme is exposed to risk
